Table 1. Proximate composition (%, wet basis) of the Artemia nauplii in each treatment for the feeding trial of Pacific white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) post-larvae
Diets | Crude protein | Crude lipid | Crude ash | Moisture |
Con | 3.96 ± 0.02 | 0.94 ± 0.03c | 0.63 ± 0.03 | 89.5 ± 0.46 |
PHB25 | 3.96 ± 0.02 | 2.34 ± 0.01b | 0.63 ± 0.02 | 89.0 ± 0.45 |
PHB50 | 4.07 ± 0.11 | 3.98 ± 0.03a | 0.63 ± 0.01 | 90.2 ± 1.09 |
p-value | 0.795 | 0.000 | 0.992 | 0.396 |
The Artemia nauplii was enriched with different levels of poly-β-hydroxybutyrate by 0, 0.25 and 0.5% (designated as Con, PHB25 and PHB50, respectively).
Values (mean ± SD) are average of triplicates (n = 3). Values with different superscripts in the same column are significantly different (p < 0.05).
